Reduction of under-age employment and under-age marriage

Highlights of the Programme:

  • Sensitization of the parents and their children on the evils of under-age employment
  • Research-based action against under-age employment
  • Reuse and rehabilitation of under-age employees
  • Establishing of 4 types of education centers by CARE T based on the learning needs and levels of children to enable pre-formal education
  • Enrolling rehabilitated children in schools for formal education
  • Created awareness among adolescent and teenage girls with their parents on the evil practice of under-age marriage and its harmful effects
  • Participation of the rehabilitated victims in the awareness programme
No of beneficiaries: 2,993 girl under-age employees have been rescued and rehabilitated by CARE T since 2002
