Action Groups for the Welfare of the Vulnerable People
Aim: Empowering women to work as action groups for poverty alleviation in their villages
Highlights:
- Young women from the vulnerable communities are activated and strengthened to form action groups
- They get oriented in poverty alleviation schemes
- CARE T initiate linking of the poor families with the women welfare schemes
- After the process, action groups act as local independent groups and collectively work for women welfare in their habitat
Current Status: 290 action groups located in several villages with a membership of 3,861 are locally active
